From J.J. Abrams, the creator of Alias, comes an action-packed adventure that will bring out the very best and the very worst in the people who are lost on a faraway desert island...
Out of the blackness, the first thing Jack (Matthew Fox) senses is pain. Then burning sun. A bamboo forest. Smoke. Screams. With a rush comes the horrible awareness that the plane he was on tore apart in mid-air and crashed on a Pacific island. From there it's a blur, as his doctor's instinct kicks in: people need his help. Stripped of everything, the 48 survivors scavenge what they can from the plane for their survival. Some panic. Some pin their hopes on rescue. A few find inner-strength they never knew they had.
Kate (Evangeline Lilly), with no medical training, suddenly finds herself suturing the doctor's wounds. Hurley (Jorge Garcia) - a man with a warm sense of humour despite the desperate situation - does his best to keep his cool as he helps those around him to survive. Charlie (Dominic Monaghan) is a faded rock star who harbours a painful secret. Sayid (Naveen Andrews) is a Middle Eastern man and former member of the Elite Republican Guard, who must wrestle with the racial profiling directed at him by some of his fellow survivors. Jin (Daniel Dae Kim) and Sun (Kim Yun-jin) are a Korean couple whose traditions, values and language are foreign and thus causes much to get lost in the translation. Sawyer (Josh Holloway) has an air of danger surrounding him, and his intense sense of mistrust for everyone around him could prove to be fatal to his fellow castaways. Michael (Harold Perrineau) has just gained custody of his nine-year-old son, Walt (Malcolm David Kelley), after the death of his ex-wife - they are a father and son who don't even know each other. Locke (Terry O'Quinn) is a mysterious man who keeps to himself, and who harbours a deeper connection to the island than any of the others. And self-centered Shannon (Maggie Grace) - who actually gives herself a pedicure amid the chaos - and her estranged controlling brother, Boone (Ian Somerhalder) - constantly bicker and must learn to get along if they are to survive.

LOST THE COMPLETE FIRST SEASON BLU RAY REVIEW
This was my first TV season watched on blu ray high definition and let me say it was hell of a show to start with in your collection. There are total 25 episodes of 42 to 43 mins each.Total 7 disc in box set and was released by Disney and is region free so you can play on any blu ray player or ps3 .I have got the UK version from thehut which comes in one big case .So that was about the box and disc. Now about the story - 5/5 The story is about 48 passengers who survived a oceanic airways plane traveling from Sydney to Los Angeles crashed on a mysterious island in nowhere, it is not Bermuda triangle :P can be I have not watched other seasons yet.The season revolves around 10 to 15 main characters and shows how they got on plane and what happens next in island. The story is full of suspense and thrilling. Each of these 15 characters have their secret or own story which were unknown to each other. I will not go further into story as it could spoil the mood to watch. I will rate story 5/5 Picture Quality - 4/5 To be honest picture quality is quite good , I have not watched lost on TV or DVD or any medium before this .There are still some distortions in some scenes ,and doesn't look best restored but still better than us version. You can see grains on faces and every details clearly .I will rate it 4/5 Audio Quality - 4.5/5 DTS HD 5.1 English is used .The sound is crisp and you can hear thumping sounds which rattles your speakers I wont say when as it would be spoiler..The Background score is quite good and keeps you on edge of your seat while story unfolds. The sound quality is 4.5/5 for me but not much a demo material but for background score I will rate it high There 8 hours of bonus materials which I yet have to watch, I wont rate it. Overall - 4.5/5 Overall I will rate it 4.5 as for lots of bonus materials, I know I have not watched it but what the heck must be worth it .When the season ends it just makes you think what will happen next and wants you to watch season 2 as soon as you can. There are some questions which will be left unanswered as the writer and director wants us to think more . Last line and I end my review must have TV season in your collection .Worth every penny. I'm going to start watching bonus materials and then season 2 soon. Thanks hut for awesome price.
