Ted Baker once more presents his SS18 campaign through a stunning visual new campaign exploring the bold individuality of the new menswear collection. Here at The Hut, we take a peek at the new On the Bright Side campaign and pick out our most wanted pieces from the new menswear collection.

Gone to where the weather suits his clothes, this season finds Ted shaking off a lengthy hibernation and catching up on his colour quota. Shot through with a much-needed dose of Vitamin D, this season imagines the carefree lightness of a summer vacation long overdue.

Taking menswear cues from the here and now, Ted’s SS18 collection is all about clean silhouettes and pared-back styling, executed with a twist. Alongside a core of holidays blues, an earthier palette of dusty pink, dove grey and olive green comes into play, accented by sunny streaks of canary yellow.

Embracing new ways to wear, Ted’s celebrated tailoring also gets a revamp; unconstructed blazers, sporty details and slim-fit cropped trousers create a contemporary look, designed to be dressed-down with a T-shirt and luxe trainers. Linings hark back to a classier time through mid-century graphic prints in key colourways.

Laidback Riviera collars tap into the 50s-inspired trend, bringing a taste of la dolce vita to polos and casual shirts. Simple Breton stripes wrap long tops and short-sleeved pocket tees in nautical navy and peach shades. Trousers and chinos continue to be updated with contemporary cuts.

Embroidery threads its way across standout styles, including vibrant exotic birds on shirting and jersey. Ted’s signature patterns are complimented with subtle jacquards and oversized geos, while more muted layers are tied together with statement colour-blocked knits.

The perennially popular bomber reappears in impactful patterns, alongside more minimal outerwear, from smart zip blousons to lightweight water-repellent macs with technical details. Leather luggage styles from AW17 are redressed in tones that mirror the collection.
