Established in 2012, RAINS is a Danish rainwear company celebrated for its modern European take on the traditional rubber raincoat. With a specialist knack for reinventing classic silhouettes, RAINS has developed into an internationally revered rainwear brand today offering a collection of waterproof outerwear, bags and accessories.
With its headquarters based in Aarhus, central Denmark, RAINS draws inspiration for its latest collections from both a traditionally wet Scandinavian winter climate as well as the region’s rich design heritage. For the new Autumn/Winter ’17 season, the brand and its designers pay tribute to the icons of our time to present exciting new interpretations of quintessentially timeless styles. The RAINS collection for AW17 has been expanded with new takes on the bomber jacket, parka, mackintosh, and the traditional coach jacket which join RAINS’ existing collection of classic raincoat styles.
The icons of our time became iconic through volatile and random circumstances. In an almost evolutionary way, certain things, places and individuals were naturally favored and praised throughout history, and that made them iconic to this day.
The new campaign was shot at Copenhagen’s famous Roxy Klassik Showroom, a classical interior shop brimming with furniture and interior designs from such iconic architects as Kaare Klint, Ole Wancher, Hans J. Wegner, Finn Juhl and Arne Jacobsen to designers such as Verner Panton, Charles and Ray Eames and Poul Henningsen.
